This service aims to support the operational efficiency of medical device wholesalers and SPD operators, and to contribute to improving the quality of medical care received by patients.

meccul Medical Materials Database Service is a medical materials database built exclusively by MEDIUS Solutions, containing over 800,000 medical materials master records. This database specializes in single-use (disposable) medical materials and does not include dental materials or pharmaceuticals, but it does register medications necessary for the use of medical devices. Registered medical materials include basic information such as manufacturer name, product name, manufacturer product code, specifications, JAN code, biological origin classification, medical device classification, condition surcharge, Pharmaceutical Affairs Law approval number, JMDN code, and last confirmation date. While the online viewing service has been provided free of charge until now, all items are now available for free download.

■ Background to providing it for free

The medical materials used by medical institutions are extremely diverse, with new products being added, discontinued products being discontinued, and prices changing on a daily basis. On the other hand, the free version of the service, which will be launched this time, allows users to download all data as of the time of information provision determined by MEDIUS Solutions once a month, but does not include details such as list price and redemption history. meccul usage classification will also be an option.
