Materiality Identification Process

We considered and identified materiality through the following process.

01

Identifying and identifying the issues

We have comprehensively grasped social issues by referring to market changes (mega trends), international guidelines such as the GRI Standards, and evaluation items from ESG evaluation agencies. In order to identify issues for our Group in light of social issues, we conducted a value chain analysis, management/business analysis, mega trend analysis, and stakeholder analysis to identify issues.

02

Organizing and consolidating the issues

We compared the issues extracted in each analysis in STEP 1 against our group's philosophy, policies, strategies, and society's expectations and demands for the group, and organized and consolidated the issues.

03

Impact assessment

The issues organized and summarized in STEP 2 were evaluated along two axes: "the degree of impact the Group has on society and the environment" and "the degree of impact society and the environment have on the Group's management" Issues with a high degree of impact on each were positioned as material issue candidates.

04

Identifying Materiality

After approval, we identified our materiality.

Impact assessment

The five materiality items are those where both the impact our group has on society and the environment, and the impact society and the environment have on our group's management, are significant.
