2. Responding to global warming
   To mitigate the effects of global warming, we will work to understand and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
3. Efforts toward realizing a circular economy
   We will work to identify and reduce waste, and promote the circular use of resources.
4. Establishment of an environmental management system
   To systematically advance our environmental initiatives, we will establish and operate an Environmental Management System (EMS) and strive for continuous improvement.
5. Promotion of environmental education and environmental activities
   We engage in environmental education and activities to deepen our knowledge of the environment and promote sustainable actions.
6. Information disclosure and continuous improvement
   We will disclose the results and progress of our environmental activities and continuously improve them through evaluation and review.

Human Rights Policy

Basic policy

MEDIUS Group recognizes the importance of respecting human rights and, under its corporate philosophy of "Contributing to regional healthcare" and sustainability philosophy of "Act today for a better tomorrow," will focus on the following key areas. This policy applies to all officers and employees of MEDIUS Group (including contract and temporary employees), and we ask for the understanding and compliance of our business partners as well, so that together we can strive for respect for human rights.

Priority Areas

1. Support for international norms
   We support the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the UN Global Compact, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
2. Addressing human rights issues
   We address human rights issues such as discrimination, harassment, working hours and wages, occupational safety and health, and privacy.
3. Establishment and thorough management of the promotion system
   We will establish a system to promote this policy and ensure thorough oversight by the Board of Directors. The Sustainability Committee will conduct risk assessments, preventive measures, and monitoring, and make improvements as necessary.
4. Implementation of corrective measures and relief
   If a human rights violation is confirmed, we will take prompt and appropriate corrective measures and provide relief to those affected. We will respond sincerely to complaints from both inside and outside the company and strive to prevent recurrence.
5. Promotion of education and awareness
   We will promote human rights education and awareness activities to deepen knowledge and understanding of human rights and encourage actions that respect human rights in daily work.

MEDIUS Group will share this policy with its business partners and seek their support and cooperation.
