Our world faces complex and serious challenges, including climate change, resource depletion, poverty, inequality, the threat of infectious diseases, and conflict. In such an era, the Medius Group has put tackling social issues and the global environment as two of its highest management priorities in accordance with our philosophy of “Act today for a better tomorrow,” and we will take a proactive approach.
Our corporate philosophy of “Contributing to Local Medical Care” is not limited to our business activities; it is rooted in our mission to support the health and sense of security of people in the community. Even as society undergoes rapid change, it is our responsibility to remain a trusted and indispensable presence. By further advancing our contributions to local medical care and integrating them with a sustainability perspective, we will work to solve the challenges facing society today and in the future.
Each individual at the Medius Group will act with initiative, working hand in hand with healthcare professionals, suppliers, local communities, and all of our stakeholders to realize a peaceful and healthy society that “leaves no one behind.”
Medius Group considers sustainability to be an important pillar and has established a "Sustainability Committee" and a "Sustainability Specialist Committee." The committee is chaired by President and CEO Medius Holdings Co., Ltd. and is composed of the Director responsible for sustainability, Executive Officers, Specialist Chairs, and other members, and is responsible for identifying material issues (important issues), formulating strategies and goals, managing and evaluating the progress of measures, and rolling them out to the entire group. Five sustainability specialist committees have been established, and the contents of discussions at each specialist committee are compiled and reported to the Board of Directors through the Sustainability Committee. The Board of Directors oversees the status of initiatives by the executive side and provides feedback to the Sustainability Committee.
Medius Group places sustainability at the core of its business. By balancing a stable management base, sound profitability, and sincere efforts to address social issues, we will continue to create value and contribute to the realization of a better society. We aim for sustainable growth by continuing to take on challenges with a medium- to long-term perspective.
